Stair and Railing Parts
In December of 1997 a film called "Titanic" opened at the movie theaters. Maybe you've seen it. In case you haven't, it's the story of the RMS Titanic which sunk after striking an iceberg on its maiden voyage shortly after leaving Southampton, UK. One of my favorite scenes comes early in the movie where the camera pans across the grand staircase.
The classic "Gone with the Wind" was another great movie that featured a grand staircase. Hogwart's Stairways in the more modern "Harry Potter" movies is another example.
Maybe it's the ornate elegance of a decorative banister. Or, maybe it's the fond memory of nervously waiting to see your prom date appear at the top of the stairs. I can't put my finger on it but there's just something about a grand staircase.
